I have the Arcam AVP-700, but I got it very recently so I still have the option to return it. I realized recently that I cannot hook up HD audio to it since it doesn't support HDMI through audio. I've been looking at a few alternatives, such as the Denon 4308 but my debate lies in audio quality. While I'm sure the Denon will be superior for Blu Ray because of the HD audio, I feel the Arcam will be better for everything else. Are there any "audiophile" pre-receivers such as the Arcam that also have the modern tech of a Denon or Integra? Thanks a ton.
