I have started a seach for a dvd changer / jukebox that I can load all my movies in and select them on-screen. I have found a Sony that seems pretty popular but the "browser" ui seems a little light on content.

I know there must be some changers out there that you can control via laptop. I have seen it done in the past where you can browse the media library from a computer in the house, select it on screen, and the movie starts playing.

Can anyone tell me what software does this sort of thing and which players support it? If there is a player with a fairly open software specification, I might be able to write something myself to control it since I am a software developer.
