Hey everyone. I'm about to hit the order button, I feel like I'm getting a good deal since I shopped around and looked for the lowest bottom price. I ended up on B&H photo and audio. I feel like this is a pretty sweet deal because I'm getting the new Onkyo TX-SR605 (the 7.1 TrueHD receiver), JBL Stadium Venue 12" 500 watt sub, 2 JBL Stadium Venue floor speakers and a JBL Voice center. Now I know JBL isn't the same as it used to be but the still make a quality product for the money. So here is my order total, no tax, no shipping.

So, MSRP on these are

Onkyo= $500
JBL speakers=$450 (pair)
JBL 12" sub= $300
JBL Voice center=$150
PRETOTAL= $1400
+tax 7%=+98
+shipping=+250
TOTAL= $1750 relatively

All for under $1000

It includes these:

The other speakers I already own:

Knock off Klipschs:

Boston Acoustics CR65

Sony Remote commander also.

Re: About to hit the order button!!! Good Deal???

I own the JBL center you are looking at and the Stage series tower speakers.(one model down from what you are looking at) They are NOT timbre matched. If you do an Avia sound calibration you will notice this quickly.

Sorry to dissapoint you but I believe you will be much more pleased with some online company offerings of packages.

I have upgraded recently and feel as well as hear much better.

.....this is truly an illness

Re: About to hit the order button!!! Good Deal???

In my opinion, if you like JBL, I would step up to the L series. They can be had for a greeat price on Amazon or eBay. I have heard a few people on AVS wishin they had not bought the voice center. If you want to stay with they stadiums which I heard is a good speaker, you might want to ook at the LC1. Check with the guys on the JBL thread on AVS, they will be able to help you more.

Re: About to hit the order button!!! Good Deal???

I might be a little late to this topic, but I have the Studio Center II (purchased about five years ago) and have four S-26II's all around for a 5.1 setup. When I run a calibration disc and play pink noise, the center sounds different from every other speaker.

I wouldn't mind picking up another S26II or two and replacing my 'center' with the 'bookshelf' style.
Mr. JBL has made my first home theater possible.

Re: About to hit the order button!!! Good Deal???

I bought a pair of the JBL Arena bookshelf speakers from their Venue line, and I'm quite pleased with the Venue series as far as quality goes.
I have heard good things about their matching sub as well.
I was considering getting the matching sub, but I got a wicked deal on a Velodyne DPS-12 that I couldnt pass up
