The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

"LP" in the RoundUp table means a store’s Sunday flyer says "Low Price". That means I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

The Specials

**Hooray! ALL of this week’s new releases are available in their Original Aspect Ratio! It’s been awhile since I’ve been able to report that!

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Re: Weekly RoundUp 3-25-2008

I believe the name of the Robinson-Bogart film is really "Brother Orchid."

The pic at the top is captioned "Black Orchid" and in the grid and list of the Gangsters 3 box it's listed as "Brother Orchard."

The Gangsters box and possibly "The Mist" for me.

Thanks for the Round-up and Happy Easter!

Warner's Gangsters 3 for me. Early reports on this set are very positive. Hopefully Costco gets this in; the big box retail prices you quoted are not discounted at all.

I might get the Mr. Wong Collection if reviews indicate good A/V quality and if they have English subtitles/captions. The films aren't that great, but Monogram rules.

They are laughable. Though they've never been competitive on box sets, always charging list price while other competitors offer discounts. CC management must be totally clueless if they still can't figure out why their sales are way down.

Re: Weekly RoundUp 3-25-2008

I'll be picking up Lost Highway. That's the last movie that I own on laserdisc that didn't have a DVD release. And for $20, I'll definitely grab the Blu Ray of Cars too.

At some point down the line, I'll pick up Bonnie & Clyde too.

Thanks for the prices, guys!

Mike, correct me if I am wrong, but you have the UCE of Bonnie and Clyde as a 3 disk set. I believe that both sets have the same 2 disks, the UCE has a book, repo of the press release and a couple of other extras.

Re: Weekly RoundUp 3-25-2008

As always, thanks for the prices Mike and Patrick - especially on the holiday weekend.

For this week, I've already received (and watched) the Bonnie and Clyde Blu-ray. It was a blind-buy, and a good one. I'm debating whether or not to get the 2-disc Mist or wait for a Blu-ray release eventually. And I may eventually get the Price Is Right set on sale.

But, Jack, you are not wrong. I have adjusted the UCE to a 2-disc. Thanks! Someday I'm hoping to pick up a BD of Bonnie & Clyde. Hopefully I can find it "used" somewhere.

Thanks guys!

Picking up Frisky Dingo: Season 1 (if you like Auqa Teen Hunger Force or The Brak Show you'll love this) and Bonnie and Clyde BD. I plan on giving Lost Highway a rental first since I'm skeptical that its "my kind of movie" based on what I've heard from others.

Maybe I'll upgrade my copy of Cars @ Best Buy this week. Disney's BluRay website has a $10 rebate for people who already own the SD version of Cars, so a $9.99 upgrade sounds good to me... I hope they continue to offer the upgrade rebates for the older titles.
