Hello,

I'd love to have an Special Edition SDDVD or Blu-ray of this title. Does anybody knows of any future plans on DVD for this magnificent film?

Thanks in advance.

On Friday the 28th, Zeffirelli will be signing copies of the existing Romeo & Juliet DVD at a Barnes & Noble in NYC.

It was shown on Cinemax in HD a couple of months ago and looked fantastic!

What was the aspect ratio on Cinemax? I think it should be 1.66:1, but the current dvd is 1.85:1 and the top and bottom of the frame have been cropped.

Hmm, I know that on the dvd you can see the cropping the most during the end credits when the title is shown. It is cropped.

Franco Zeffirelli's ROMEO & JULIET is a milestone and one of my most memorable film-going experiences. Paramount needs to open the film cans and do a whole new transfer. I'd buy a remastered special edition in a heartbeat.
