Best wireless component set-up

Hello all,
I'm relatively new to theater set ups. I'd like to install an LCD screen in my living room BUT place all of the components in the closet of the adjoining room therefore leaving a clean-look in the room.
My question is; What is the best wireless product I can use in order to use with the components?. I realize I'll have to run the Speaker/HDMI/Infrared wires behind the wall thru the attic and down into the closet, not a problem.

Thanks for the info Wanye. This really helped me out. Now its a matter of using an IR or RF device. Oh the choices out there when entering this field of HT. LOL
