Just like the other AIDS joke episode, it had a really funny start but that one gag didn't sustain 21 minutes. That being said, I thought it was a decent enough start to the season.

episode that looked to be a repeat so I deleted it. I hope
it was an older episode that I had already seen.
Anyone know for sure?

Mine recorded it as well, but it was the dedicated Butters episode where he follows his father to the bath house... special guest appearances by OJ Simpson, Gary Condit, and the Ramsey parents after "some Puerto Rican guy" "kills" Butters.
Yes I watched it anyway, and hummed the Bennigan's theme song repeatedly throughout the week. Good episode.

This was a pretty good episode. A little cruel how Cartman gave him Aids, but some funny bits. Especially the benefit concert.Listen Up People.., Rack Em and Pack Em.., We're Phantoms in 15.

Eventhough there wasn't too many laugh out loud moments, I liked this episode just because it took some much deserved shots at the media. I loved the bit where they broke in on the Clinton/Obama debate to talk about Britney Spears.

Yeah, I agree.There weren't too many laugh out loud moments.
Just an average episode.
With a Britney, "leave her alone" episode, I figured they would have a Chris Crocker character in South Park or something
They took Butters to a psych ward.
It would be funny if we see him in there next week.

Overall, that was a pretty funny episode. I guess that was the weirdest Diary Of Anne Frank parody that I've ever seen.I liked Gerald's reaction to the Fox news report. "GASP! Killing our kids?"
The Heavy Metal references were more or less lost on me since the one time that I saw that movie, I had drank a bottle of Jim Beam and was incredibly drunk.

While I'm not too fond of Heavy Metal, I thought the episode was pretty funny.I thought for sure there was going to be a "Parents who cheese, have kids who cheese" parody line.
Loved it when Kyle's mom found the cat in his underwear drawer.
Then his dad brought out the cat in a plastic baggie.
Then when his dad wanted to get hid of it, I thought he was going to try and flush it down the toilet.

Join the club. I thought the Heavy Metal stuff was great. It brought back memories of the 80's and some of my friends then. We watched HM more than a few times after school.
Good episode.

We were thinking of watching a movie, but it got to be midnight so we just put on South Park instead. Afterwards, I popped in Heavy Metal for a few minutes, just so my wife (who'd never seen it) would get the references.We ended up watching the whole thing. Damn, I felt like I was 14 again. That flick is so gloriously ridiculous that I can't help but revel in its awesome badness. Ah, sweet teenage memories of Cinemax free preview weekends!
Even my wife, who is not even remotely a member of its target age range or gender, enjoyed it!
And the episode was cool, too. The cats-in-the-attic stuff had me rolling. Nice twist to have Cartman do something heroic for a change.

I did like Sheila's half-lidded squinty eyes and telling him, "Don't touch me!"
Never saw "Heavy Metal" but still enjoyed the cheesing sequences.
I think this has been mentioned before, but I re-discovered last night that all of Kenny's lines appear as actual lines in the closed captioning. Very funny, especially when he has a larger part like this week's ep, and you can't keep up with all the muffled lines.
