Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)
Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)
| I know David L Ross died many times as a security guard. I can think of The Omega Glory and Day of the Dove off the top of my head. Eddie Paskey, he died a whole bunch of times as well, as in Obsession, for one. |
Yes, agreed. That's one of the reasons why I wanted the answer to be a person who had been in three different roles. BTW, I've spoken to Eddie Paskey. He's a very nice fellow, and was a joy to talk to the few times I spoke to him.

That's one of the funniest things I've ever seen. That's not it, but that made my day!
I'm a ****ing idiot 'cause I can't make a lamp?
No, you're a genius 'cause you can't make a lamp.
What do you know about trigonometry?
I could care less about trigonometry.
Did you know without trigonometry there would be no engineering? Without lamps there'd be no light.

Wow. That was fucking awesome. I'd never seen that before, and didn't even know it existed.
Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)
I didn't know that was David Soul!TOS is my fav show of all time, been watching it since the early 1970s...but I feel like I don't know a damn thing about it.
Real Name: Arthur Belling of "St. Looney Up-The-Cream-Bun-and-Jam"
BEAR: 1992?-2007.
GOLDIE: 1997-2008.
Still mourning my girls.
Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)
Hey, has anyone seen the second installment of "Of Gods and Men"? I watched it today, and it's pretty damn good. Wasn't there a thread somewhere on HTF on it? I can't find it. Anyway, if you haven't seen it (or part 1) I highly recommend it (them), especially if you are a fan of TOS.Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Besides the make-up, and having many familiar faces, I think the music is actually very well done. I recall loving it the first time around.
Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)
Okay, here is one:What actors in TOS would become regulars in future TV series where the series and their character stayed in the show for longer than TOS' 3 seasons?
Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)
Easiest one for me would be Shatner as T.J.Hooker...Good lord, there's nothing worse than the foul stench of desperation when someone wants to be famous.

Do you have a defined (or finite) number of actors in mind for your question?

Nimoy in In Search Of... and Mission Impossible (or was that only 2 season?).

Cept i wouldnt call her a regular. She sure wasnt one as Luwaxana. The computer voice...maybe. I am not sure she was always credited.
Nimoy was only on M:I 2 seasons.
The Shat also has Boston Legal, how long has that been on?
Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)
Sorry, if I was not more specific, but I meant GUEST stars of TOS, not the regular stars.Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Well, youve got David Soul, who had that hit song, also was in Starsky and Hutch. Richardo Montabon was on Fantasy Island. Clint Howard was on Gentle Ben. Jane Wyatt was on Father Knows Best. Mark Leonard was on Here Come the Brides...i could be here all day!
Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)
Ah, but my rule was after TOS, so let's focus on the top five longest careers of guest stars on TV series after TOS in ONE series.Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)
You guys are on the right track. Remember, GUEST starts (not regulars) AFTER TOS.So I think Ocke got most of them:
Joan Collins and Lee Bergere (Dynasty) - 9 Seasons
(Joan - S2-S9, Lee - S1-S4)
Vic Tayback (Alice) - 9 Seasons
Ricardo Montalban (Fantasy Island) - 7 Seasons
David Soul (Starsky and Hutch) - 4 Seasons
I'm afraid Here Comes the Brides lasted only 2 seasons.
I would like to declare Ockeghem the winner, your turn.

In the VOY episode Learning Curve (one of my favorite early episodes from the series), Tuvok takes the Maquis trainees for a run around the ship. What is the distance that Mr. Tuvok has them all run? (I realize that a couple of them were 'lapped' along the way, but I'm just looking for the intended distance--the one everyone had to run in order to be finished for the day.) Good luck!
Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)
Doesn't anyone have a guess for the question above? It's a standard distance in some circles.

If I told you that I used to run this distance in just under 38:00, would that help?
Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)
Okay, since no one knows the answer, including me, I pulled the DVD out and found the answer: It was a 10 kilometer run.Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)
I was trying to think of a good one, but this is what I have.It should be an easy one. He is the father of a controversial Academy Award winning actor. He acted himself in the 50's and went on to be a director of many TV shows in the 60's and 70's and 80's, including Star Trek TOS. I thought he directed several TOS episodes, but it turns out he did one in the first season. If I'm wrong, plese correct me. Extra points if you can name the episode he directed too.
Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)
Warning Spoiler! Click to show
I cheated and used the internet but I knew the who the actor was right off the bat.
Every man is my superior, in that I may learn from him.
Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)
Correct Lou! I was wondering when you'd pop in here. That makes you next.
