Speaking of which, wasn't he also the voice of the Chameleon on Get Smart?

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Actually, William Schallert played The Exterminator in the fifth season of Get Smart.

Here's an offbeat question, name two actors who had a close relative appear in DS9.

One DS9 actor's wife made two appearances. One TOS actor has a son who appears on DS9. Can you name the actor who is the husband, and then the wife. And then name the father and the son? Hint: the son does not appear with the father.

I have a feeling this is an easy one.

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

I know Armin Shimerman's wife, Kitty, appeared on DS9.

The other was Chekov's son. Andrew Koenig.

You're right Greg! On both questions, very fast! They appeared in Santuary, with William Schallert

I just realized your location is The foot of Mount Belzoni, Donald Fagan fan?

If you can think of another question, it's your turn.

Nelson,

Even though Greg got the answer (well done Greg, BTW) I thought of another one (that is to say, an actor who had a close relative appear on DS9). It doesn't satisfy the second part of your question, but it's just good to point it out, I guess. Andrew Robinson's daughter Rachel was one of the main characters in The Visitor.

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Scott, I didn't know that about Andrew Robinson's daughter being in The Visitor. That was a good one too, so it could qualify as a win as well as she is a relative of an actor on DS9. Though I know Robinson wasn't a cast member, he practically was one!

I might just have to pull out the DS9 DVD's and give them another view!

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Siddig al Fadil (Bashir) is related to Malcolm McDowell. McDowell is in Star Trek Generations. So, I guess the question works the other way around as well.

" I think it's time we go to plan B". "What's plan B?" "That's the one where we don't do something stupid".

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Yes, sir. The Nightfly is the best.

Probably a super easy one, but what was the last line spoken on the last episode of TOS?

That's a great question. I don't think I can get it exactly right (without looking it up). How about "Aye aye, sir."

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

I have to play the DVD to get the exact lines, but I recall it involves Kirk, Spock, McCoy and Scotty walking away from Janice Lester and down the corridor with Kirk lamenting how her life could have been as rich as anyone's. "If only".

I'm willing to accept that since it's literally the last line. The full thing was ""Her life could have been as rich as any woman's. If only. If only." Not really a proper sendoff to the series, since they weren't wrapping it up like they got to do with every other series. If anyone wants to list the last lines to all the other shows, it might be interesting. Not making it a part of the trivia, just for fun.

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Thanks Greg! I was just looking at the Star Trek Wiki, Memory Alpha. It turns out that there were 2 more episodes planned. In all the years I've been a fan, I never knew that. NBC didn't want to make them.

The last would have been directed by.....William Shatner. How would history have judged that! I guess that would have been a good question!

Here's another easy question: Which 2 actors were in all of Star Trek TOS. Hint, they include the pilot.

And here's a separate question just for fun:
Speaking of firsts and lasts, what two actors and activities are in the first and last regular broadcast episodes of TOS. This one might be tricky in how I worded it. I'm thinking of an activity that occurs in both episodes.

So there's two questions for you!

I know Nimoy is one, I think the other you may be referring to is Majel Barrett, but I'm not sure if that's what you mean because there were lots of episodes she wasn't in. Nimoy is the only actor to appear in every single episode, and that's how I took the question.

About your second question, is it the Tri-chess game they play? I know that was at least in 'no man.

"Because he's the hero that Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now... and so we'll hunt him... because he can take it... because he's not a hero... he's a silent guardian, a watchful protector... a DARK KNIGHT."

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Zack- You're right on the first question. I didn't word it very well, so technically, you get the win! I meant to say who was in the very first and last. As written, if I am not mistaken, Nimoy was in every single incarnation of TOS, The Cage, Where No Man has Gone Before and all the episodes after.

Majel Barrett was in the very first and very last with Nimoy.

Keep trying on the second one!

Would it be Kirk( Shatner) and McCoy( Kelly) for a health physical?

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

That's right Troy!

The Corbomite Maneuver was the first regular episode and starts after the titles with a shirtless Kirk on the workout thing/machine.

The last episode, Turnabout Intruder, McCoy does a physical on Janice/Kirk, also shirtless and on the workout thing.

Zack and Troy are next!

Nelson et al.,

Just dropping in to say hello. Those are great questions! I got the Nimoy and Barrett part, but I also guessed that it was three-dimensional chess.

Looking forward to the next questions.

Zack you were first so I'll go after you. I have to think of a question anyway.

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Okay, to keep the thread going. What's significant about the anatomy of Jean-Luc Picard? What is the name of the alien race responsible for his condition? Should be really, really easy here.

He has an artificial heart due to a run-in with a nasty Nausicaan during his Academy days.

"Gee, who knew having a spear through your heart could be this much fun?"

What was the name of the village where the Picard family vineyards were located? Hint (if needed): the name should strike a chord with some of you.

LaBarre, France.

Kind of scary that I didn't have to look that up.

I don't have time enough to watch all these DVDs!

I knew it but I didn't have a clue how to spell it!

So Sam is up next. That is if Troy is not coming back with a question.

Re: Star Trek Trivia (Series and Films)

Since no one has answered this question for several days, it looks like a tough one! I sure have no clue and I spent a few minutes Googling it.

Of course, I think the official answer from Star Trek canon is, "You couldn't pronounce it."

Nimoy ......... I'm stumped! Wait a minute, Isn't Spock, Spock's last name? It's his first name we don't know, right? Since they refer to him as Mr.Spock and Capt. Spock. The Bajorans are the only Star Trek race I know of where the last name comes first.

LOL, I looked it up too. What it actually said was his "full name" was the Vulcan pronunciation of "Spock." Vulcan's don't really have last names, though I think they've gone with "Son of ...." a few times, which could be an official designation like the with the Klingons.
