NOTE: as of 3/7/08 - the prices went back up to $14.99 for most of the titles, The Contract went up to $12.99)

FWIW, these are the $10.49 HD DVD titles at bestbuy.com. To get the price, you have to order online, and then hope your local BB has them available for pick-up (otherwise you'll get a higher price if you just buy them in the store, supposedly just 30% off their regular prices):

Actually, $10.50 should be about 30% off their regular price - Universal apparently reduced the SRP of everything but Atonement to $20 (from $30) and $27 (from $40) this week, Best Buy's regular price is generally SRP - $5, so 0.7 * $15 = $10.50.

Not that I imagine the folks in the retail stores have gone nuts changing the stickers, though.

I did the contract for in store pickup and it rang up for $8.20

Wow, John Carpenter's THE THING is a steal at that price. What a great disc. If I didn't already have it, I'd be tempted to get it even though I swore I wouldn't buy any more HD-DVDs.

I know I'd probably be able to get them under $10 sooner or later, but I did pick up 2 titles online as well (Shaun of the Dead, and Pride & Prejudice).

Unless my browser is not working right, I am not seeing many $10 titles anymore. They were there yesterday but not today.

Yep. That ship has sailed, I'm afraid. All the HD DVD deals where the discs have approached the $10 mark or less have all been very short time frames (Deep Discount withstanding). I think the retailers are either still testing the pricing waters or trying to generate a sense of urgency.

Universal Blu-ray Discs I will not be buying while they're offered only as Blu-ray + DVD 'flipper' discs:

The Jackal, Out of Africa, and Traffic.

If I could recommend one and only one film for Blu-Ray it would be 30 Days of Night. This film is hands downt eh best of the best when it comes to a movie improving because of HD. The movie awesome. Most films pale in comparison to what this movie does when it goes HD. I'm not a person who works for the industry, but I saw this in theaters and then at home and it blew my mind the difference. I saw it at Best Buy.

BB's website is showing some titles around the $10.50 price point again (well, it was yesterday when I looked).

Yeah, but they list "Online" stock as being sold out, and then you look at the local pick-up option, and everything is grey out. BB is doing some weird things with their website recently when it comes to their HD DVD listings.
