Saw Steely Dan last night at the Montreal Jazz Festival. Wow. What a great show. The drummer is phenomenal (all the musicians are great, but he's outstanding). Opening act was Catherine Russell (blues/jazz singer)--great voice and performance. Bought her CD right after the show.

We caught Rodrigo y Gabriela this past Friday and WOW, just WOW. This duo brings so much energy to just 2 classical guitars it is simply mind boggling. They had the crowd clapping along in between having thier brains fried by lightning fast licks compliments of Rodrigo and percussic rhythms and guitar body slapping by Gabriela. If you are a fan of the guitar, metal/classical music and/or Mexican-flavored riffs, go see these 2, you will not regret it.
