Pioneer says goodbye to plasma manufacturing - Engadget

Looks like Pioneer will stop making their plasma panels, and rely on others to make the plasma panels for them (most likely Panasonic). Will that cause a step backwards in the quality of the Kuro levels of future out-sourced plasma panels?

Re: Pioneer dropping plasma panel production

I've been looking at the Panasonic 65" plasma lately but haven't checked out the Pioneer 60" Kuro. Is there that much of a difference between the two?
