First 1080P setup arriving today!!

Hi all,
This is an exciting week!! I have upgraded my theater after 10 years!! My new samsung 61" DLP is on it's way (HL-T6187S). Last month I upgraded my receiver to the Onkyo TX-SR805 and tomorrow I receive my Blu-Ray player (Panasonic DB30K) and 4 new Polk R150s for my surround sounds. I'm replacing my current 5.1 surrounds with the Polks for 7.1 setup!!

I'm super excited to see the new tv in action in my house! And I also can't wait to hear DD True HD audio for the first time at home!

I have already updated my Harmony remote with the new hardware and have the firmware update for the Blu-Ray player already burned and ready to install!

I wish I could take a month of from work and stay home and enjoy the new setup!! But as it is now I am playing hookie to wait here for delivery!!

I think I've made some good choices to bring my theater up to modern standards and I was able to stay under my $4K budget too! I wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of The Home Theater Forum!

All of these upgrades and no pictures? An upgrade project doesn't exist until we see pictures.

Did you upgrade your sub?

Tv has arrived and is unpacked!! Stand is supposed to be here today but it's taking it sweet time. Couldn't resist to set it up and turn it on! The box on it's side is obviously empty and ready for the kids to use as a fort.

I've got this TV arriving today - brilliant review, and it feels like the first one I can actually trust. I suppose I'll have to wait and see whether I've got a cloudy one...

One question about something that's really confusing me. I've heard that even though the PC input only accepts 1360x768, people are managing to get their XBox 360s to display 1080p through it. This is quite important for me as I've got a 360 with the HD DVD drive. I don't want to waste £20 on a VGA cable if the TV is actually going to give me the same results as through component. So is it actually possible that the TV is displaying 1080p through VGA, or do you think it's somehow fudging it into 1080i?

Buy cheap digital camera and get hidden cam free.
