Re: Barnes and Noble Coupon Codes
I received a 40%-off-one-book coupon for the BF weekend (that just expired) that required using a Mastercard to pay, but not sure if it was specific to our membership account, so I didn't think to post it for y'all to try. We picked up Tolkien's illustrated hardcover version of Silmarillians w/ it at the local store, and the wife was going to order some other book online -- it was only useable once each for online and in-store.
Since my wife didn't get around to using it online, it occurred to me to try buying the Firefly BD set w/ it, but I was just a bit too late.

Would've been a sweet deal at $45 - 40% off though it was meant for a book purchase, so no idea if it would've actually worked.
There's also another new 15% off coupon now (plus a free throw for a $75 order). This one does not limit to books, but is still only good for 1 item. I may use it to buy the Firefly BD set if I don't see a better deal tomorrow. I'll gladly post it for y'all to try (probably late tomorrow or so) after I've placed my order since again I'm not sure it's useable for multiple accounts.

Re: Barnes and Noble Coupon Codes
Man, the 40% coupon wouldn't work for the Firefly set -- I tried it when I posted in the other thread so no reason to feel bad about that. There was also a 20% off code that was to expire on 12/2 that never would work -- the site kept saying it was expired.

Re: Barnes and Noble Coupon Codes
Just a follow-up on my Firefly BD set purchase plus additional relevant offer for any B&N shoppers.
I managed to get an extra ~$4 off the set (for net cost of ~$33 after tax) via live.com's 12% cashback for B&N. Not sure how often cashback rates change, but live.com does seem to have the highest rate for B&N (and for the few other online shops I've checked). They also offer 20-30% back on eBay buy-it-nows from time to time, eg. I actually bought an iPod Touch on Monday that way. Seems like Microsoft is using the ebate program to draw traffic and awareness to their search engine probably as part of their current plans to gain ground on Google -- and because they're probably going after much bigger fish, they're probably also not as concerned about the direct $ involved w/ these deals as other ebate programs would be.
Anyhoo, hope that helps some of y'all...

FYI, B&N's ongoing Buy-2-Get-1-Free sale (for DVD/BDs) is supposedly ending on 7/7 at 3am ET.
Not sure about their DVD selection for this, but the BD selection is not bad, particularly if you're interested in some catalog titles (and would use formerly-Live-Search-now-Bing cashback to get another 10% back on top of the membership discount).
I was gonna pick up Do the Right Thing (but maybe not now w/ the color timing issue), Romancing the Stone and Seabiscuit. All titles I haven't seen on sale for less than $20 each yet so far -- net cost for each would be ~$16+tax. They have others also of course, but since the rules suggest I can only get 1 free title w/ the deal, those were the ones I narrowed down.
