One of the best guitarists of the 80s has left our stead. I loved his song "Angel Eyes" and he did some great work for the movie "Road House". I had no idea he was so young, though.
The cause of death was cancer. The details can be found here:

He will be missed. I loved his stuff...I should probably get a CD or two of his.

just read the news as well.
a terrible loss indeed.
I saw him live in 1988 in Rotterdam, simply awesome what he could do with his guitar.

Extremely sad news of the loss of this truly talented musician.....even more so for me because he's from Toronto. He will be truly missed around here. He was well loved in this city.

Oh wow. I'm just stunned. Why is it I always seem to find this sort of news on a Monday? RIP, Jeff.

Roadhouse was always a guilty pleasure for many of us. It's good that we have that memory of Jeff, pretty much playing himself of course.

I saw Roadhouse the same day I lost my virginity. Besides Swayze kicking ass, the best part of the flick was Jeff Healey. "Angel Eyes" is a classic song. Great guitarist and singer.
RIP
