Please rate my budget HT system so far.

Hi, been lurking for a while and it was time to share my story. I just renovated a new den and wanted to build a budget HT system. Im a beginner and just want a entry level system but didnt want to buy the cheap plug-n-play systems.

I primary went with these two pieces since they were on sale in my area:

Pioneer Elite VSX-81TXV Receiver
-Got on sale for $498

KEF 2005.2 w/ sub
- Clearence from $179

I plan on adding blu-ray player and new TV next but wanted to get some feedback. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

That's quite the clearance when MSRP is $1000+! I need to go shopping with you

Not a bad start IMHO especially for the prices you're getting.

where did you get the kef 2005.2 on clearance?? thats an amazing deal.
