Remote Control Finder

I'm looking for a remote control finder....something that I can stick to a remote....then when I lose it I can push a button on a transmitter or something and make the remote beep.

I've found a few online, but these are usually keychain-size and are too big to stick to a remote. Does anyone know of any thin ones?

Re: Remote Control Finder

I believe that the space between the cushions in your couch will be the most reliable remote control finder available.

Re: Remote Control Finder

I wonder why they don't make remotes that have the feature built in (or do they?). Maybe they have no incentive to do so (at least for less expensive models) since that might mean fewer lost remotes leading to fewer new sales.

Re: Remote Control Finder

Short of something specifically marketed as a "remote finder", it shouldn't be too difficult to find a battery powered RF transmitter-receiver pair of devices that would do the job at a hobby shop, Radio Shack, or perhaps even the big chains. And of course online. You would tape/glue the receiver on the remote, and the transmitter onto some fixed surface.

Now that you mention it, I wonder why everything with a remote doesn't come with this feature; you press a button on your A/V device (TV, receiver, whatever) and the corresponding remote beeps from inside the refrigerator (yes, I've left remotes there).

EDIT: OK, so I said almost exactly the same thing as Man-Fai Wong.
