Re: Consolidated HD Bargain Thread!
When you first log in, there's a banner near the top of the screen. I missed it the first time too!
The good news: Yesterday I discovered that one of the local Hollywood Videos isn't closed yet, even though it doesn't come up on the website store search. The bad news: No HD-DVDs or PS3 games. Oh well. . .

Not *all* of them were that cheap though. Even w/ BOGO, many are not $8 each unless you count all sorts of other add-on deals that have nothing to do w/ HDM itself.

Anyway, yeah, this J&R sale is nothing special. Their previous one a week-and-change ago was much better albeit most of them were older titles from generally less expensive studios. I'd look for many of these titles to go on better sales at J&R some time down the line (if you like shopping at J&R)...

Mike, didn't you forget about the previous J&R sale just a week-and-change ago? Granted, there may not have been anything in that sale you wanted, but I think I ended up w/ a dozen BDs from it -- stuff I either missed from previous BOGOs or B2G1s or one or two titles I hadn't seen in such sales before.

If you live in NYC (or commute there regularly), it'd make more sense to just go to the store for the sale -- that's what I do.

Of course, if you live elsewhere in the state, then that's probably not an option.
Anyway, yeah, even w/ the updated the prices, it's not too appealing. Then again, there aren't that many titles of interest for me in that sale anyway...

Re: Consolidated HD Bargain Thread!
Quite tempting...
Amazon.com: HD DVDs up to 57% off
e.g. "Ocean's Trilogy (Ocean's Eleven / Ocean's Twelve / Ocean's Thirteen)" for $36.49 and "Harry Potter Years 1-5 Limited Edition Gift Set" for $71.49..
What to do, what to do... Blu-ray-releases are available, but more expensive (at least for now)..
