The FYI near me, as of a couple of weeks ago, was having buy-2-get-1-free on all used discs.Unfortunately, the used BD and HD-DVD discs were mostly $26 apiece!

X-gates, Ric. Scour around for any Sunday A-T-U. There is a coupon in the Sunday cartoon section (last page) for 40% off any used dvd (or CD) @ FYE. That's why I was there!

Boy, not for me, Sam! We'll have to compare when we each get ours (and when we ordered them!)

I ordered Saturday, 3-15 and it says to expect items to be shipped 3-24!
I have another order I'm waiting for that was ordered 3-9, shipped 3-13 and delivery is expected 3-24. If the 3-24 is true, that would be 15 days from the order date!
I'm not in any rush...or I would have paid the few extra bucks for speedier shipping. It's just taking a little longer than I would have expected, that's all.

Hmmm. I never thought of that.
I went to give it a try only to find out that mine shipped this morning. But get this...
The items that shipped today (3-19) are scheduled to be delivered 3-24...while the items which shipped 3-13 are also scheduled to be delivered 3-24.
The first shipment looks like it originated in Phoenix, AZ.

Blu-ray "Blowout" at J&R.com.Titles include Terminator 2 for $7.99, Reservoir Dogs for $10.99 and 3:10 to Yuma for $13.99. Many more.
It's a "weekend" sale. So, presumably it ends Sunday.

Whoop! Whoop! And here I was getting ready to drop by Target to see if I can somehow get Yuma for $15 w/ their B1G1.

T2 for $8? Can I resist that one (w/ inevitable double-dip later)?
Stargate, Total Recall, etc. too. I still need to watch my DVD of Crash (before considering the BD upgrade for $14 there).
Good to have J&R (and be able to just drop by the store).

Re: Consolidated HD Bargain Thread!
FYI: J&R's shipping (USPS Parcel Post) appears to be $2.95 for the first title, and $1 for each additional title in the order. Also, I urge folks to read some reviews of the Picture quality and Audio quality of some of these "cheaper" BD titles because you might be shocked at the reviews, and it may allow you the patience to use the money saved to wait for the eventual double BD dip.

T2 is awfully tempting, but I can't help but think there is a better version around the corner.Re: Consolidated HD Bargain Thread!

I would hope that they would re-release these titles with lossless audio. That is the only way I would buy these titles again.
At least the first Terminator was done with a pcm track. And while T2 has a very good DTS-ES lossy track. I see no reason why we can not get this title with a lossless track in the near future. I definantly will stick with my HD-DVD copy of T3 as the standard DD track will not be better than the DD+ track offered on the HD-DVD. Now once T3 is re-released with a lossless track then I will definantly buy it again. But until then there are other movies I would rather spend my money on since I have all the terminator movies on HDM.

Jumped. This is my first HDM purchase in quite a while. I'm glad the releases are starting to pick up again, but oh how I miss the halcyon days of the 2 for 1 sales plus the 10% discount.
BTW, are the new cases really that ugly?

My local Hollywood Video had all HD-DVD's for 2 for $20. I was hoping I'd be buying some older titles but I bought 6 which were all from this decade. Is Amazon still having their sale?
