Thanks.

Given her limited role on the show, this doesn't seem like much of a loss. Still, I do enjoy her character and wished they would have made her character a bit more prominent. Oh well.

Wonder who will head Atlantis now?

Wonder if they will somehow bring back Weir?

Woolsey? Great, now we'll have story line after story line about a bureaucrat running Atlantis, second guessing the more experienced personnel, and then he'll "grow" into the position and gain their respect.

(Guess I don't need the spoiler tags any more)

I dont know that many people are thrilled. Unless they change his character a lot who wants to watch him every week?

Re: Stargate: Atlantis Season 5 discussion (spoilers)

This will certainly make things interesting.

Isn't it a little early for a Season 5 discussion thread, though? Considering season 4 is still going and season 5 hasn't even entered production?

Re: Stargate: Atlantis Season 5 discussion (spoilers)

It is early yes, but since the cast had a major change it was only fair to those who don't like things spoiled to stop talking about it in that thread.

Also, this was announced today.

GateWorld - Jewel Staite a main cast member in Season Five

Not really a big thing, if at all really.

I hate watching television what with all the commercials, pop-ups, blurbs, etc so I always wait for the eventual DVD release of my favorite shows. Stargate Atlantis is no exception; anyway I'm sorry this show ended its run. It was a good five years; great stories, special effects. My only complaint is the guy who played Ronon always looked so bored; kind of like he didn't want to be there at all. And that whiny David Hewlett, he got annoying really fast. I didn't like the way he always talked down to people. I also had a problem with the fact that he's primarily an egghead scientist - what's he doing kicking ass and shooting automatic weapons? Everybody received hand-to-hand combat training when they joined the Expedition, including doctors and scientists?I had the same problem seeing Daniel Jackson kick ass on Stargate SG-1. Who would've thought that bumbling geek giving a lecture on Egyptian hieroglyphics in the 1994 film would turn out to be an ass-kicking combat veteran? Bring on the inevitable Atlantis movies!
