How do I connect my PC to my new Mitsubishi?

I'm getting the Mit WD57733 and in the specs it tells me that it features PC connectivity, i'd love to use it as my computer monitor but am wondering what I need to do or purchase in order to connect my hard drive to the tv?

Also, what will the loss of resolution do to my PC image? I realize that it's a 1080p tv but I also know that the resolution of a real computer monitor is much higher than that, correct? I'm mainly concerned about very small text featured in such places as Map Quest etc, will I still be able to read it? I suppose to solve that I could increase the font size.

Congrats on the tv purchase!

The first thing you'll probably need is an HDMI-to-DVI cable to connect your pc to your tv. I would suggest either Blue Jeans Cables (for high quality/good price) or FireFold (for very low price).

Once you get them connected, you'll want to set your resolution on your computer to 1920x1080 with a 60Hz refresh rate. I don't think you'll have a problem with this resolution as most people actually run their monitors at a lower resolution than this -- for instance many LCD monitors in the 20" range run at 1650x1050.

Ah okay, that's easy enough because I already have a spare HDMI to DVI cable. That's great because i'm in the process of getting the room ready for the tv and now I can factor my pc into the installation process.

Yeah, the TV does do PC connectivity, but only if your PC has an HDMI or PCI output. waaa, poor little me, my PC only has XGA on the 15-pin high-density connector. I feel so last-week. Oh well, at leat LOST looks superb on my Y657!
