Hey all I am a new member and for the most part new to the HD and home theater world. anyways I have a 47" philips LCD 1080p and I bought a panasonic sc-pt950 to supply sound however after realizing that the panasonic did not do everything i wanted it to i am in a pickle where i want a new receiver. Now I have a PS3 which I think will be the center hub of my home theater because of its ability to up-convert dvds, play bluray with TrueHD and DTS-HD, and do everything else except i need a receiver to hook it up do. So my question is do I need a receiver that that can decode TrueHD and DTS-HD since the PS3 does it already? My budget is under $700. and if you could please recommend a receiver that would fit my set up i would appreciate it. Im running a 47" 1080p LCD TV w/ 3hdmi inputs, a ps3 w/ hdmi out, a direct tv hd dvr w/ hdmi out and possibly a HDDVD player w/ hdmi out im just missing a nice receiver to bring it all together. thanks for any help.
