Re: Lexicon RV-5 is a rebaged HK receiver!
H/K used to be such a good company. Now they just take over other, better companies and cheapen them.

My point couldn't be any clearer. Of course, your conclusion that "high end audio is a scam" also shows a complete lack of logic. Finding a couple specific examples means nothing on the whole. I have to admit, you appear to be just a bit trollish. If all your arguments are this well thought out they have little value.

Yes, and just because H/K has bought Lexicon and cheapened their gear does not mean all high end stuff is a scam.
My point is, H/K used to be a top notch consumer brand. Now they are just a multinational conglomerate which buys up good brands and turns them in run-of-the-mill junk. The bought Klipsch and turned them from a decent, family founded brand into cheap plastic junk. The bought Mondial (technically Klipsch did, but all the same), a producer of excellent consumer and moderate high-end and basically trashed them into non-existance. The list goes on.

Point taken Michael. My comments are based more on other instances of H/K doing this type of thing, particularly with other brands, some of which I mentioned. Also, the fact that for 2-3 decades H/K made some of the best, consumer level stuff out there. I have 3 of their mid 80s "i" series receivers, and it's great stuff. Mondial was also an exceptional company, until H/K (by way of Klipsch) got ahold of it.
