Elizabeth Taylor sets like the Sinatra sets?

With the news of Warners releasing those four Sinatra sets in May, I wonder if they would ever consider doing something along the same lines for Elizabeth Taylor? She still has so many titles to be released!!

Yes, Mr. Budgell, I was wondering the same thing. WB would be wise to release a few Liz two-fers as well, pairing FATHER'S LITTLE DIVIDEND and THE LAST TIME I SAW PARIS with an unreleased title to save those two from PD hell and still guarantee decent sales.

If they do, I hope they would consider giving us a version of 'Reflections In A Golden Eye' in natural colour instead of the gold-tinted version they included in the Brando box. Yes I know that was the way Huston wanted it to look, but I've always much preferred watching this excellent film without the tinting and I suspect a good many other admirers of the film probably feel the same way.

It would also be wonderful if they used it as an opportunity to rescue Father's Little Dividend from the public domain.

Re: Elizabeth Taylor sets like the Sinatra sets?

There are several titles that WB should save from public domain hell:
- The Last Time I Saw Paris
- Father's Little Dividend
- Life With Father

These are the titles that WB still need to release:
- Raintree County
- Beau Brummell (1954) (maybe pair it with the silent that TCM just aired?)
- Rhapsody
- The Girl Who Had Everything
- Love Is Better Than Ever
- The Big Hangover
- Conspirator
- Julia Misbehaves
- Cynthia
- The White Cliffs of Dover

So they have enough for two or three boxes, especially if they do the public domain titles...and a new National Velvet wouldn't hurt, either!!

No doubt! I pulled this out a few weeks ago and had forgotten how lousy the transfer is. This is a prime MGM title, and deserves the same level of care as the Technicolor musicals that have gotten the spiffed-up treatment.

They definitely have enough for two solid sets.

BTW - Has anyone seen Marengo's release of THE LAST TIME I SAW PARIS? Some of the PD stuff they put out is decent.
