Saving music on internet stations

There was a thread about finding classical music stations and I can not locate the thread. There is a very good german Munich classical music station that can be heard on the internet. The station is called "Bayern 4".

The link for getting this is: "http://www.br-online.de/bayern4/frequenzen/index.shtml" and it requires Windows Media Player or RealPlay.

I don't have a modern computer (yet) but can one download and save the music. If so how? Can one state a date and a time from-to so one can get a program without being home? (like with the radio and a recorder). Would appreciate any suggestions.

Re: Saving music on internet stations

You would need a program to "capture" the sound streaming from your sound card. I use Total Recorder by High Criteria. (www.highcriteria.com). This has the added benefit of scheduling. It can navigate to the stream, record for a period of time and then terminate the stream and the player.

YMMV
