Yeah, it did seem to show up pretty much everywhere they went. But my wife and I also had the theory that
Warning Spoiler! Click to showThere could have been more than one monster. My wife commented that the one that killed Hud did not look as massive as the one that was shown through the film.
A couple of nitpicks I had was that:
Nobody, through all that terror and some heartbreaking moments, seemed to mind having a camera in their face very much. Even if it was in the interest of Documentation. I know I would be like "Get that fucking thing away from me!" if I didn't just smash it first.
I would have thought that the Army guys at the treatment center would have taken the camera. I guess I don't know for sure what would happen, but still.
It did seem a bit strange to me as well that a video camera could produce such stunning audio.
Rob seemed way too determined to save Beth. It was almost as if he was some kind of Cyborg who didn't think any of it through for even a moment. And it the end.......
Warning Spoiler! Click to showIt pretty much ended up costing them both their lives
But those small thing aside, definately a solid thriller. Some definate terrifying moments. I'm glad that things were kept very under wraps about the film. It made it much more effective. For example when you see for the first time

it was definately a "Holy Shit!" moment
