First off I want a home theatre set up that's upgrad-able, I'm a full-time student now, will be looking to move out soon, get a new room/place so there's lots of change going on. I want a system that can upgrade as my budget grows, with that in mind, I want some quality speakers for music that won't have me going to have to repurchase an entire system if I want top notch stuff.

I've just a few questions about digital connections, and how to set it up for my computer(if I wanted to play music directly from my comp), and video games(ps3, xbox360, etc.) Any suggestions on how this would be done and what speaker's I should start off with would be greatly appreciated.

Would I need a great soundcard first? Then an amp? Then when that's done, how do I set up a digital connection? How would I integrate the computer(for music, to a TV, to a game console? Can a decnet digital set up be purchased with only 1000(I'm thinking just 2 quality speakers at this point for starters)? Again help would be greatly appreciated.
