Yes, Chris, thanks for reminding me. I think it may have been Hank Dearborn who mentioned this in another thread. It makes perfect sense for Timeless to release this since "Laramie" was a Revue produced series. I have a few episodes on DVD-R that are fairly poor quality, and if Timeless releases the series anywhere near as good as "Laredo," I will be one very happy TV Westerns fan.

Eischied
Ellery Queen (Jim Hutton)
Masquerade (Rod Taylor)
She-Wolf of London
That's Hollywood
Thriller (Boris Karloff)
Total Recall 2070
The Travels of Jaimie McPheeters
UnSub
VR.5
Veritas: The Quest

Would also like to see these completed: Here Come the Brides, McMillan and Wife, Ozzie & Harriet (full season sets), Alias Smith & Jones, etc

Pretty much--none of mine.

Maybe things will turn around if there's more positive economic news. But I don't know about that.

My 10 shows on DVD for 2008

On the off chance that anyone from the studios reads this thread...

01: VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA - SEASON 4! FOX would make many people posting to this forum very happy with this!

02: BATMAN (Adam West) Hey, WB and FOX... Can't we all just get along!

WHV, I'm calling you out on these next few!

03: HUCKLEBERRY HOUND - Post Season One! Um, this series only put TV animation on the map, and stated the Hanna-Barbera Empire that allows you to endlessly profit off of Scooby-Doo! It's going on three years since the first release.

04: QUICK DRAW MC GRAW Complete Series. Ditto!

05: The balance of the pre-1965 Hanna-Barbera catalogue. H-B's best TV work was in the early/mid sixties, and WHV was doing a fine job in releasing it, until the last 2 years or so. Then, it seemed to disappear. I never really expected Wally Gator, Peter Potamus, Ruff and Reddy, etc. But, you could always surprise me!

06: FREAKAZOID! Thank you WHV for the coming Season One of FREAKAZIOD! But, with only 11 Second Season shows, why not a "Complete Series". Please don't forget Season Two!

07: A lump vote for other '90s WB animated series: Animaniacs, (Remaining episodes), Taz-Mania, and the vastly underappreaciated Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries. I'm probably not enough of a completest to endure PINKY, ELMYRA, AND THE BRAIN, though!

08: THE GREEN HORNET ('60s). Hey, FOX! WB/DC Comics doesn't own THIS character... So, what's the deal?!

09: DISNEY'S HOUSE OF MOUSE! Yo, Disney! I'm talkin' to YOU, now!

10: The missing shorts (or those that may be missing in the future) for TOM AND JERRY, POPEYE, and LOONEY TUNES. Yeah, WHV... I'm back to YOU! If some of these are considered to be politically incorrect by "general standards", why not put together a single release of them for the adult animation buff! The Academy Awards Collection PROVES that you CAN lump the properties of different studios (under the Time Warner umbrella) together... so why deny yourself and us such an opportunity?!

Gotta admit one thing in closing... The fact that it wasn't all that easy to list choices after my Number Four, indicates that, in general, the studios have done pretty well in their choices!

Just finish VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA, okay?!

Heard also that hey have 'The Texan' (Rory Calhoun) & 'The Deputy' (Henry Fonda) + some others on their radar. I know they have actively put out feelers for good quality prints of the Deputy.

I've also heard the same about "The Deputy" and I think that would likely be a good seller for them given Henry Fonda's involvement with the series. Those two public domain episodes from the series have turned up on just about every TV Westerns compilation from the various budget DVD releasing companies.

Re: If you could release 10 shows on DVD for 2008 what would they be?

1- Special Unit 2
2- Vengeance Unlimited
3- Seven Days
4- Journeyman
5- John Doe
6- Time Trax
7- New Mission Impossible
8- Untouchables (1990's version)
9- Reaper
10- Spenser for Hire

Bring back John Doe! Or at least resolve the cliff-hanger with a 2hr movie or as an extra on a dvd release.

CIMARRON STRIP

Jeff, "Cimarron Strip" is being sold by Stuart Whitman as a "private label" release DVD-R. It is, perhaps, the most expensive series (on a cost per episode basis) ever released on DVD with each episode going for $19.95. Here's the link:

Cimarron Strip DVD's

Whitman owns the series and, as such, he can sell it as he sees fit. The other "Cimarron" series, "Cimarron City" (with George Montgomery), has had a release of selected episodes through Timeless Media.
