The Official 2008 HTF DVD Challenge

Yes, it's that time again, where you're challenged to see how deeply you can delve into your DVD Collection. The guidelines, once again, are as follows:

1. The goal of the challenge is to watch EVERY SINGLE TITLE in your collection (Extras are optional, but, like commentaries, are encouraged).
3. Commentaries are optional (but encouraged).
4. Television titles are excluded from the challenge (movies only folks... watch TV on your own time).
5. The CHALLENGE shall begin at 12:01am on January the 1st, 2008 and end at 11:59 on December the 31st, 2008.
6. This is to track theatrical releases only.

Those are the only guidelines. Use this thread to keep track of the titles you watch. Reserve your place in the thread and then just update that post with each film. Some have much larger collections and can't get through it, so they my decide to skip the extras and just do the films. That's entirely up to you. This is just for fun. No prizes involved if you finish. Just the satisfaction of knowing you watched 'em all. Enjoy.

Well, that was a complete disaster and the worst performance I've ever had in the Challenge. OTOH, it was a busy year with my mom being very ill and me finding a wonderful new girlfriend who is keeping me, erm, occupied.

I managed to watch only 15.8% of the new acquisitions of 2008, as opposed to my usual score of about 50%. I did manage to get everything I acquired for review done, though I was far down from my usual total of 125-150 at only 65 reviews. Again, life interferes. Of the 2008 acquisitions I did watch, 70.1% of them were for review. But I did manage to revisit a lot of titles from past years, so I'm not feeling too bereft.
