Jazz legend Oscar Peterson dies - Yahoo! News UK

Sad news. Mr Peterson had suffered considerable ill-health in recent years, but his concerts post-stroke, though lacking the full vigour of his earlier days, still outshone most jazz pianists. I was lucky to see him play nearly thirty years ago and the concert ranks easily in the top ten musical events I've attended.

Very sad passing of a legend. He will be missed and we are all richer as music lovers for his legacy.

Right on. I was lucky enough to see him pre-stroke. Wonderful.

He will be missed. I have so many memorable CDs with him trickling the irovies.
