Best way to connect this set up?

TV: Toshiba Regza #47HL167
Satellite Receiver: Directv HD DVR #HR20-100S
DVD Player: Playstation 3 80GB
Receiver: Samsung #HT-TX75 (Home Theater in a Box)

All these connections are kicking my butt!! lol

Obviously i would like to hook up my system with the best connections possible. HDMI should be the way to go?

Also i keep hearing about how great lossless audio is, with my current equipment is it possible for me to have this?

Would an HDMI switch be something I should look into?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jay.

My advice would be to run HDMI straight to the TV from the Sat and DVD receiver. Run optical to the Samsung HTIB. Use the TV speakers for casual use, but fire up the Samsung HTIB for more serious viewing.

I dont think that Samsung will decode lossless audio, but you might start looking at receivers that accept HDMI and decode the audio for an upgrade down the road.
