I'd like to connect my computer to my LG 42LB5D to use as a second monitor. What difference would it make if I connect it straight via DVI, or if I get a DVI to HDMI cable?
Will it make a difference whether I use a 30-foot DVI cable to connect to my HDTV, versus using a 30-foot HDMI cable with a DVI adapter? I know that HDMI cables are rated for longer distances, but does this even make a difference given that the SOURCE is DVI (lower signal strength?)?
