I went with the Toshiba XA2 and Panasonic BD30 instead. In addition, Samsung has a poor history of player issues/support.

Has Samsung made an official announcement yet? Amazon is not always right about release dates, so take it with a grain of salt at this point.

PS. this is already being discussed here "Samsung announces combo player" thread. I would have posted the link but I have not made enough posts yet to allow me to do it
