The layout is the other side of Mario, that's a Luigi layout and all the floors disappear when you step on them...UGH! very frustrating!

There's a Luigi layout in the Toy Time galaxy? I thought I completed that galaxy, and I only went through the Mario one. If you're at 116 stars and the 100 purple coins one is bugging you, I don't think I'll have much of a struggle when I keep getting closer.
Although, the one that's killing me now is where you have to blow up all the trash in 30 seconds. I know
how to do it, but doing it is a whole different thing. Grr...

I'm at 119 stars now. The only one left is this crazy ass Luigi layout in the toy galaxy, trying to collect the 100 purple coins. I actually did it, but died going back for the star

Second time around. I didn't see the layout until I failed 15-20 times. But I still failed 10 times after I knew what I had to do, then gave up for the night.
I've died going back to stars sometimes as well.

I think I've come across a glitch. After obtaining 104 stars, no new comets showed up. I had to beat a level I had already beaten to have comets show up. This happened after getting the 105th and 106th star as well. Has anyone else come across this?

I noticed this as well. If you go to the Luma that moves the comets around, they should be back after that.
Ditto for me on the Toy Time purple coin chase....I have given up on getting all 120 stars because of it. I like a good challenge, but this is difficult bordering to the point of stupidity....

Which Luma is that?

Re: Super Mario Galaxy RULEZ!
Thanks John. I will give it a shot. I also am struggling with the coins on Dreadnought Galaxy (the one where you are upside down a lot and have the cannon ball shooting at you). I think I can get that one eventually.
So what happens (aside from playing with Luigi) when I get all 120? Anything?

The Luma I was referring to is to the right of the first set of galaxies (forget what that room is called now). In other words, to the left of the princess (not the one right next to her).

If I remember right near the end isn't there some coins really high above the electric gate.
If so, then you have to sacrifice a level of power or two to get those tricky ones. |
I assume this is the Battlerock purple coins level. In this case you can backflip over the electric gate. With the right timing, you will get the high purple coins over the gate. Will probably take a few attempts to get it right.
For the Dreadnought purple coins challenge, here's a tip that might help. You do not have to stay with the moving platform the whole time. You can stop on a non moving platform and eventually another moving platform will come along. So don't feel you have to rush.

I hate that you have to do that. It was a fun game but I don't think I could do it again. There is some stuff in this game that I never want to have to do again. I'll just youtube that final star

Is Dreadnought the one with the electric fences or the one with the gravity shifts? Or is it both?

Really? I didn't think beating Bowser was that hard. Getting to Bowser was a bit of a challenge, though.

The dreadnought has the gravity shifts. The Battlerock galaxy has the electric fences.

Beating Bowser was fine. I meant playing the whole game again with Luigi

I watched the video on you tube for the world for the 121st star. Brilliant game, not worth playing all the way through a second time just to get it.

Re: Super Mario Galaxy RULEZ!
Zelda:Twilight Princess was awesome. I liked it more than The Ocarina of Time, but YMMV. Still the best game other than SMG.
Metroid Prime 3 is also awesome. Using the Wii remote to aim works spectacularly.
RE4 is a great game, but it's balls out hard for casual gamers. If you enjoyed the previous RE games and accustomed to the difficulty, you will love this.
And don't forget Wii Sports. As good a pack-in as Combat was for the 2600. The bowling is great, but 2 player tennis is insanely fun. I wish they made a deeper version with the same engine. 5 game sets limit the awesomeness.
I haven't played it, but Medal of Honor:Heroes 2 is supposed to be good, but the 32 player online is reportedly awesome.
EDIT: I've just played 20 minutes of Ghost Squad, and by god it is FUN. The Zelda pack-in with the Zapper has it's moments, but Ghost Squad, with its reticle free shooting gives you that classic arcade light gun experience.

Start out by heading right and only jumping on the green spaces with coins.
so ones that don't have coins, save those for backtracking.
the coins right away to the right that stretch across about 5 tiles, use your long jumps.
Also with the spinning yelllow tiles, also jump on every other one or ones that have coins only.
keep moving and not to use up all of your tiles.
move counter-clockwise-this really helped me.

Even knowing this, I've still died so many times. My death count in that level has to be 100-150. Ugh...

Has anyone else gotten 120 stars?

Re: Super Mario Galaxy RULEZ!
Woohoo! I finally got 120 stars! It took probably around 300 tries to do it, though.
...but then I had to beat Bowser again to get
Warning Spoiler! Click to showSuper Luigi Galaxy.
What's up with that?
