North Dakota here I come!

Looking at that map you would think that Buffalo would be a safe place. I guess snow fall amounts taller than your house don't count as natural disasters.

yeah, maybe they should indicate lake-effect snow regions....

Of course, you can go crazy with stuff like acid rain, ozone, etc...

Just paint the entire map black and be done with it!

The map doesn't indicate regions with high wildfire or flooding potential.

Where I live it's hurricanes, tornados and wildfires!

Well it was put together by a COC of Washington county in PA....isn't that where the Johnstown flood(s) took place? Maybe the COC wanted to gloss over some embarrasing facts.

Still it's a handy map to show what regions have what potential disasters. All they need to add now is flooding, wildfires, poisonous animals, and potential Al'Qaeda nuclear testing sites.

Yeah the Memphis area looks to be the most dangerous spot in the country: extreme tornados, extreme earthquakes. The New Madrid fault generated one of the largest earthquakes in US history back in 1812- something like a magnitude 8 on the Richter scale. Fortunately for the OP, there aren't any grizzly bears or alligators in SF, Seattle, or Denver. Just a few mountain lions at best. Of course, SF does have COYOTE. www.walnet.org/csis/groups/coyote.html

Ok, I'm not moving to san fran. Too expensive. I'm pretty familiar with Denver. I'm leaning towards Seattle, and have been there several times. The light rail is in the works, so that will soon play a big part in my airport commute. With that in mind, what does every one have to say about seattle? Where would you live in the seattle area? Remember, airport commute.

I think the Cinerama theater influenced my choice a little.

Too bad Denver's Cooper theater was demolished. It was one of the classic Cinerama theaters. I've never forgiven the morons who did that.
