Re: Iron Maiden World Tour 2008
The other day I finally watched the part 2 doc on the Live After Death DVD that covers the Powerslave recording and World Slavery Tour.
If you haven't seen this yet, watch it NOW!

Re: Iron Maiden World Tour 2008
So I'm going to Chicago to see this show next Wednesday. When my buddy and I decided to go, I signed up for the online fan club for their pre-sale (gotta have the good seats this time...), and later on while browsing the site, I threw my name in the hat for being one of the people they bring up on stage to shout along in "Heaven Can Wait"...
Yadda, yadda, yadda...
Found out Monday morning I'm gonna be on stage with Maiden. I can't help but be a little stoked about this.

Heh, yeah, just a bit. They take a photo and put it up for download on their website a few days after each show... that's going to make a great addition to the basement HT decor.
Anyway, I was already excited about the show even before that, I've never caught them live before. Wednesday night can't come soon enough.

Re: Iron Maiden World Tour 2008
Guess I never followed up on my experience at the show.
It was great, just so cool to hear all those old songs, and the band was really tight. The sound was not very good, but as I was a bit tipsy this didn't really hamper my enjoyment.
The trip up on stage was fast, efficient, and over in what seemed like seconds. I was at the back of the line that was led out, and ended up behind some people, so I spent the whole time jumping up and down as high as I could, to try and get in the pictures (which have not been posted on the IM website yet).
What a great show. The band was excellent, the crowd was crazy - I was really impressed.
