Brothers and Sisters returns for their sophomore season.
What I can remember from last season's finale:
Justin got shipped off to Iraq.
Tommy and Julia are dealing with losing one of their twins (the son).
Kitty and Robert are engaged (had a crazy engagement party between the 2 families).
Joe and Sarah are going their separate ways, some of it due to Joe putting the moves on Rebecca (though Rebecca wasn't totally in the clear).
Saul is tempted by a past male friend's invitation.
Kevin is intrigued by Robert's brother.

Re: Brothers and Sisters season 2 premiere 9/30/07
I suspect Joe has met someone new, and found out that he couldn't quite go home again after he and Sarah did it one last time on the washing machine (spin cycle, I guess).
Kevin is still a whiney little beyotch, and I don't see him staying true while his priest boyfriend goes halfway around the world to build school.
Nora's screed at the Mexican restaurant just shows how self-indulgent she can be when pushed to her limits in terms of worrying for her son. It's not an attractive side of Nora. Now, the fight between Nora and Kitty at the bridal store was pretty funny, though.

I wonder if Lena (Emily Rose) is going to present some temptation to Tommy at the vineyard.
Pretty entertaining bit revolving around the conservation radio host and Kitty/Nora/Kevin.
Glad Justin made it back, even with a bum leg that will force him to entertain the use of narcotics to get through the early rough spots of recovery.
Sarah isn't having a good week, and Rebecca's confessional didn't help matters.

Well, no telling how Julia is going to remain out of the picture, but rest assured, when she returns, it's going to be at the worst possible moment for Tommy.

So glad Justin finally gave into the drugs to help him get over the pain, that storyline was about to overstay its welcome.
I could care less about Robert and his ex-wife. Is Marin Hinkle destined to playing the PITA ex-wife roles now?
Scott's back! Will Kevin be tempted yet again?

As near as I could tell from preview for next week's show it appears Sarah storyline will be starting a new chapter.

Re: Brothers and Sisters season 2 thread
Sarah temporarily losing custody was pretty sad (very good performance by Rachel Griffiths), but it's just temporary, the big battles are still to come. Joe definitely outflanked her in these early battles, but Sarah will come back with some better strategies (I hope).
Tommy is playing with fire, carrying on with Lena.
Justin is loading up on the painkillers, going back down the same road to addiction.
Kitty's preggers, and Robert finally said the right things, albeit on the air during a televised debate for his party's nomination. I'm having problems imagining Calista Flockhart putting on weight, even fake weight. Quite the challenge for the makeup and wardrobe department.

Re: Brothers and Sisters season 2 thread
Sarah chose to pursue her successful career and leave daily parenting duties to Joe during their marriage, but now wants to do a flip and have primary custody. This would be analogous to an old fashioned stay-at-home mom losing custody to a workaholic dad.
I know we're supposed to feel sorry for Sarah, and hate Joe for his tactics but given the "mom always gets the kids, regardless" prejudice that permeates the family courts I don't blame him one bit for getting a head start on his uphill battle. For ever-so-progressive and liberal Nora to suddenly adopt a 50's attitude is highly hypocritical.
Sorry but I have little to no sympathy for Sarah.

Re: Brothers and Sisters season 2 thread
But I think Sarah is entitled to shared custody of the 2 children, plus she'll be the one doling out the child support because Joe doesn't make much money (while Sarah can make 5x of what Joe can pull down). That's the fair thing in this case. But Joe wants primary (full) custody of the 2 children once the divorce is finalized, and I can't see Sarah giving into that situation, at least not willingly.

Re: Brothers and Sisters season 2 thread
Paige's sudden departure from Sarah's home shine a light in Joe's direction, and he gives up temporary primary custody for temporary shared custoday of the children.
Kitty brings in a hired gun to do spin control the pregnancy and shotgun wedding, but all of that goes by the wayside when Kitty suffers an early miscarriage.
Justin is still hopped up on his painkillers, and can't resist Lena's flirtations, though Lena is flirting with some disaster of her own with Tommy.
Can't see how Kevin and Scotty living under one roof is going to make Kevin as chaste as he wants to be.

Patrick posted his reply at 8:18 pm on Sunday, so that meant the episode was on Sunday night. Does anyone know how many new episodes are left for this show. I was hopie the show will start expading more on the storylines for Steven Weber and Danny Glover characters. IMO, the storylines for the family members are getting a bit tiresome and predictable now.

I was disappointed that they didn't give Rebecca's storyline more air time, considering it's one of the arc storylines.
How will this affect the family, not to mention Rebecca's mother and the money she received in the will.
I loved Kevin's proposal to Scotty, although you know he'll be even more neurotic than before.

Well, the deal to save the Walker business pretty much means Holly and Rebecca will be intertwined with the Walkers for some time to come.
Justin's reaction to Rebecca's revelation was so poorly written.
"I've the hots for you, but you're my half-sister."
"I'm not really your half-sister."
"You lied to me?!?!?! You are just like your devious mother!!!! Go away!!!"
Geez... way to make it all about you, Justin.
