The cell phone lighting up with "backstabbing bitch" and showing the one girl on the team.
Fun episode. The one guy was TOTAL psycho with the diagnosis, and I found it very shocking that would occur. Talk about flushing your medical license away.

I was chuckling throughout the episode with House flirting with the CIA doc. This cast is getting really big (even if they added one and subtracted one this episode).

Yes, I think he has room for 3 on his staff. But the CIA woman basically got the job, subverting the interview process because he directly offered her a position, so I don't think he can throw her in the "contest" to get a job, since he encouraged her to leave hers for this.

House had that "Oh no, what did my libido get me into this time?" look after she told him she had quit her CIA doc job.

House: The Documentary - pretty funny stuff with House becoming an idiot in front of hot doctors, as well as Wilson building up House as a wiccan, and the "hatchet" job the documentary filmmaker did on House.

Re: House season 4 thread
I just hate that they're going to have to get rid of most of the new staff because I'm really enjoying most of them. (The Mormon doctor is the exception, mostly because they have done so little with him, especially lately.) The B*tch is just too much fun, the Cheating Plastic Surgeon is probably best doctor of the group, and 13 is too hot to lose.

Cameron as a blond is starting to grow on me. I wonder if her out-takes from the film are going to come back to haunt her.

(One advantage of
keeping Cameron a blonde is that they could also keep 13 and nobody would mix the two up in the long shots. I'm just saying...)

One of the better episode of the season, the use of magic and getting House's curiousity up a notch was pretty funny. 13 and House play for keeps.

Re: House season 4 thread
I think House slipped. He told 13 that he wants his team healthy. That means he'd either decided to keep her or was seriously considering it. If he knew he was going to fire her, he wouldn't have bothered checking on her.

House is a lot less "uncaring" than he'd like people to believe. He obviously has strong feelings of affection for Wilson and even Cuddy. And I never believed any of his denials about having feelings for Cameron. And let's not forget Stacey!

Completely unrelated pet peeve. I realize most people never see the expression in print and are relying on how things sound, but it is "jibed", not "jived".

But Americans are notoriously sloppy users of English.

I had no idea that the "jive/jibe" thing went back that far. That does make a difference. (Language does evolve - or degenerate - after all.) Amusing that the OED has this while one of the better American dictionaries doesn't. Unfortunately my compact OED is in storage while my home office is being redone and last I checked an on-line subscription was pricey.

Re: House season 4 thread
Taub could play Michael Scott's brother.
At least they finally settled on a team. How many episodes are left for the January airings (if no more episodes are films due to the strike)?
I hope they keep using the "13" name for Olivia Wilde's character, it marks her humble beginning on the team.

Re: House season 4 thread
Looks like those stories were right, although I'm kind of bummed. Taub just really hasn't grown on me, and we never really got an Amber story like most of the others got. I was hoping she'd stick around, just because it might be interesting to see what she's like when she's not in a competition, or whether she'd still feel like she had to compete with Kundler, 13, and Foreman.
I'm also curious what they're going to do with Chase and Cameron, now that the competition isn't the story any more and there's more room to use them. I liked the tiny bit of bitterness from Chase when talking about "the new us".

Re: House season 4 thread
I suspect this season is the end for the old trio (plus the cast is getting a bit too large), so whenever they bring the show back after the strike, and depending on the contracts for the old trio, I think they'll let them loose next season.
