Does anyone here own a Sanyo LCD monitor?

When I used to sell HT gear, Sanyo was by far our most reliable TV brand. While they weren't the best performance-wise and lacked certain esoteric features their imaging capabilities weren't embarrassing, Chevy quality I guess you could say.

This is the one I am looking at: 42" DP42647, costing $998. And solid black - finally no silver!

I cannot find any reviews of their LCD monitors and while my employment situation is going to get much better next month, I still cannot afford the Panasonic LCD I would rather have or especially the Pioneer plasma I really want.

Any opinions - other than "Sanyo sucks" - would really be appreciated.

Have you already read the reviews on Wal-Mart's website?

The man I loved - the man who vanished - he never came back at all. But maybe he's still out there, somewhere. Maybe some day, when Gotham no longer needs Batman, I'll see him again.

Re: Does anyone here own a Sanyo LCD monitor?

Thanks for the link Thomas.

I scanned over the reviews there and read what I expected: a few that sounded legit, but as usual a lot that sounded way too positive OR way too negative so I am not sure if these were written by "real" customers (or shills from Sanyo's competitors). That's kind of why I was hoping someone here owned one of these sets.
