quick algebra I problem help!

2x^2 -7x -4

first part is "two x squared"

can anyone reverse foil this for me? im tryin to help someone out in math and i cant even do this Algebra 1 problem!

Just use the quadratic formula and solve for the roots.

(-b +- sqrt(b^2-4ac))/2a

In this case it comes out to be 4 and -0.5
