This Tuesday marks the double release of two new releases from the band O.A.R., Of a Revolution - a January 27, 2007 concert that was sold out at the historic Madison Square Garden.

Available on DVD and CD in two seperate packages, this is bound to be a great show. Each set features two discs with 18 songs played that night. The DVD features a reported 90 minute documentary.

Anyone a fan of the band here?

Re: O.A.R. - Live From Madison Square Garden

OAR is playing a secret show at the Knitting Factory in Manhattan tomorrow night under the name of their high school band name "Exposed Youth." Venue holds approximately 500 people and tickets are $15...happily I will be one of those 500. Definitely a great live band, and a not so great studio band. The concert DVD is something I might pick up down the road when I have a better system and would better enjoy it.

But to answer your question, yes there are OAR fans here.

AWESOME!

Glad to hear there are some fans here. I've seen them twice, and last April actually looked right at me and said somethibg to me. It was awesome.

Wish I could go to the show, hope you have a great time.

Re: O.A.R. - Live From Madison Square Garden

Hey Aaron!

They have a big band, pop, and rock sound with reggae some pop r & b in there as well. I REALLY love this group.

http://www.myspace.com/ofarevolution - I'd say their latest album is the most pop of them all, but that's just my opinion. They are pro-sharing, and there are tons of songs on www.oarsa.org - which they support (althought they don't own it)

"That was a Crazy Game of Poker" is their biggest hit, with "Lay Down" and "Heard the World" being their current hits. If you want some more recommendations or places to get songs, feel more than welcome to message me!

Re: O.A.R. - Live From Madison Square Garden

I'd compare them to Dave Matthews Band, but there are definitely clear differences. RE: the show last night, it was absolutely amazing, ~300 people packed into a small club, they played a lot of old songs, took requests from the audience, lot of interaction, overall great energy. They said they "just wanted to play" and jokingly wound up there because MSG was already booked.

Re: O.A.R. - Live From Madison Square Garden

I'm really anxious to find out if you liked what you heard, Aaron!

I finally got my DVD the other day and was blown away! Man this was a great concert and behind the scenes documentary!

I wish there were more special features, but ya know - this was worth the money alone!

I'm very happy. It's widescreen!

Re: O.A.R. - Live From Madison Square Garden

I forgot about it! Thanks for the reminder though. I'll hit that MySpace page once the CD I'm listening to now finishes. I will post here once I give 'em a listen.

Re: O.A.R. - Live From Madison Square Garden

OK, I listened to a few tracks. Not bad! Dave Matthews is definitely an apt comparison.
