Re: Films of the 1970's on DVD
Warner just released 1973's Kennedy Assasination conspiracy drama "Executive Action" as part of the Burt Lancaster Collection last month. It is available separately, as well.

Re: Films of the 1970's on DVD
I have to add Alan J. Pakula's trilogy of paranoia:
Klute(1971)
The Parallax View(1974)
All the President's Men(1976)
Yes I know they are all on DVD but worth bringing up anyway.
Add to that:
Vanishing Point (1971) Also on DVD
Duel (1971) not sure if its still in print.

Pakula and his DP Gordon Willis were not finished with paranoid thrillers yet. Although made in 1981
Rollover has that special 1970s vibe. A sleeper then and now. Audiences couldn't connect with a story about corrupt Wall Street brokers and international bankers bringing the nation's economy to the brink of disaster. In 1981 the film was paranoid speculation. Today, it's a documentary.
