Re: DDD Paramount Sale

The 4 Star Trek Movies (Along with three others) are on back-order. Two are Available on April 16, Five are being sent immediately. I don't mind, it gives me something to look forward to each week. I expect to have a DVD Box set sent to me this week from Amazon. (I ordered it 2 weeks ago) and another movie from them in a week or two. I got a feeling when DDD they place the 'Trek Movies on sale they had Trekkers Coming out of the Woodwork for them!

I want them NOW!!!

As long as they're not discontinued (like a lot of the items I have in my wishlist seem to be), I can wait. I've been waiting to replace my standard disks ever since these came out, so I'm packin' dual chainsaws!

Indeed, they are one in the same; the sale shows up on the main page so you have the link as you can type in either address and get there.

Re: DDD Paramount Sale

Barry, if you are looking for Discontinued Copies check out the "New and Used Dvds" section of Amazon.com. You can also try E-Bay, but I'd be careful. I Bought a Movie on its site and the Copy I got, allthough it has Excellant Quality, is Packaged and Printed in a way I suspect it's a "Bootleg" Copy

Re: DDD Paramount Sale

Thanks for the heads up on the Star Trek flicks. I wasn't going to buy anything from DDD anymore for a while. But I'll be getting those suckers! EDIT: Insurrection and Nemsis look non-special edition??? I'll just get First Contact, since I have all the one's up to it. But I want DC versions of these final Trek flicks. EDIT again: did some double checking to make sure...and yep, looks like the final 2 Trek films are not the Special Editions. Avoid! Nemesis isn't worth $7 because I've seen it for $5 before.

Re: DDD Paramount Sale

Regulus, thanks for the tip on Amazon; I forget they have pretty low prices too. I picked up ST III and DS9 Season 2 on eBay, but admit I was nervous about the bootleg issue. Choose your sellers carefully!

Radioman970 brings up a good point - I'm only looking to replace the movies I have that are non-anamorphic (II - Generations, I think). If you guys think the extra features are woth upgrading on the rest, let me know.

I read that the transfer on Nemesis is pretty much the same on both editions. So it is about the extras on that one. As for me, I'll pay extra for the silver border on the cover.
