Shout! has not done ANY subtitles or closed captioning in the past, but apparently something changed because Adam-12 - Season 2 has closed captioning on it (you can see the logo on the back of the box, although I hadn't personally tried to activate them while playing the discs). Since they are both Universal shows licensed to Shout!, then I guess it's possible that S&S-S2 will also be blessed. It's waaaaay to early to get a for-sure answer on a question like that one, though...they haven't finished producing the release yet!

BTW the CC is the passive type that only seems to play with a composite connect dvd player with CC turned on (never been able to get to work with my hdmi or componet connected dvd player) like cbs has on most of there classic (mannix, MI) or current (ncis) releases there no formal lanuage/cc menu with the Adam 12 set.Q: Why do you care?

I think the comments come from the fact that Netflix previously had the 2nd season available through its "Instant Viewing" feature. Netflix imported the viewer comments for that into the DVD release. When I added the season to my queue, it showed up as six discs.
