"Murder By Death" cut scenes...time for a SE DVD?

Re: "Murder By Death" cut scenes...time for a SE DVD?

I read Neil Simon's auto-bio a few years ago and there are some really funny parts about Murder By Death in it. One anecdote was about a practical joke Sellers played on Simon. Sellers (pretending to be Alec Guinness) phoned Simon & sheepishly asked if Simon could get him a hooker.

That is choice! He seemed like the kind who lived life to its fullest. I buried an old friend today who was the same way. They're no saints but people loved them anyway.

Sorry to hear about your friend (and your dog Goldie, too. )

Sellers was over-the-top for sure, and an odd duck too, from what I've heard about him. I think that's true of a lot of super-talented people. His daughter wrote a book about him a few years ago, but I haven't read it yet.

Thanks. I ended up getting a substantial raise in pay the day of his funeral. Hell of a way to get that! I'd rather have my buddy back.

Goldie was a tragedy too. Both my friends, 2-legged and 4-legged, died way too young.

I think he was pretty happy too. He married this very young looking girl when he was old enough to be her father! Sadly she died young.

Original Poster Mystery...Interesting...neither Mr. Wang's Son (Willie) nor Mr. Perrier's assistant (Marcel) are in the poster!

"That could mean only one thing...and I don't know what it is..."

One could assume that the person lying down with the butcher knives in his back is Marcel due to the scene of the movie when he is in bed with Perrier and has similar socks on, but how can we be sure?

Also, who is the strange character in the backround behind the wall on the right side of the house??  Could it be Mrs.Twain, who smuggles rich white Americans across the border to pick melons? ;)

Strictly for reasons of billing.  Willie and Marcel were the only two cast members who weren't listed in the credits as stars.  They were merely featured players.  Such is an actor's life!

I will hang onto my WS LD for the cover alone.
