The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

"LP" in the RoundUp table means a store’s Sunday flyer says "Low Price". That means I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

Re: Weekly RoundUp 9-19-2006

I've been saving my BB RZ dollars for the Gilmore Girls 6 set. I was hoping it would hit at $35, but I guess $40 is not so bad -- I'll end up getting it for $20 + tax. And I'll have a week to catch up before season 7 starts.

Lots of other stuff I want, but money is tight, so I am holding off. Hopefully, I'll catch up at the next DDD sale.

Thanks for the round-up, fellas!

I wonder what the program includes on that Blind Faith DVD...

The DVD has been out in the UK and comments on the UK Amazon site say the concert is only 40 minutes long and is just a rehash of their one album.

For the benefit of the younger members, Blind Faith members were Eric Clapton, Stevie Windwood, Ginger Baker, and Rick Grech, so the band didn't fail for lack of talent.

Just repeating Steve's answer about Mister Roberts. it is, I'm fairly confident, the exact same disc as was in the old Warner snapper. It is just being released in the keepcase as part of the Fonda Collection. The same, I would think, is also true about The Wrong Man...which was also released in a snapper. But, I don't know if it is also being released separately.

Since I only have the snapper of Mister Roberts and have had a great interest in The Wrong Man, Battle of the Bulge & Advise and Consent...that Fonda Collection is looking mighty tempting to me. I will probably wait until it gets a price reduction down the road...although it already is quite affordable for four fine films.

Re: Bob Newhart Show: Season 4. I wonder if there was something unusual going on here...because I also noticed that title in my local Wal-MArt a few weeks ago...and didn't think I remembered including it in a Roundup. I wonder if there was a low-profile agreement between W-M and the distributor (and what would be the point of that?!) or if there was just some confusion about release date?
