I am trying to find info on this brand of speakers, however my online searches have proven worthless. Is this even a company?

wear did you see or hear about the speakers? Sounds like white van to me. The only Da-vinci audio I know of makes record players and cartriges

Think I may have found what you were looking for. Was it spelled divinci? If it is Divinci it is for sure, white van speakers. They are made by Redlineaudiousa not to be confused with Red Line Audio the manufacturers of Moon Audio and Velodyne. The Divinci speakers are the same as the Digital Research white van speakers they just are using a different "hot word" now. Apparently the word "DIGITAL" is loosing it's touch.

Divinci is Mickey Mouse reincarnate.

I get a kick outta reading specs on these hastily thrown together web sites such as the Divinci one. Wow, diamond cut drivers and hydro cooled tweeters!!! All of my speakers are so lame compared to these.

What name will they use next, I wonder, for the exact same product? I actually saw some speakers on Ebay under the name "Paradime". They vanished quickly though, probably because the real "Paradigm" came a knockin'.

These companies are pathetic. They use cheap parts and labor to produce the speakers. They look good in pictures, but that is about it.

To answer Joe's question, I am not sure if they made by the same company. But, I can assure you they are white van, scam speakers. They look nice and may even sound descent, but unless you get them for less than $100, probably less than that for me because they would just be a waste of space in my home, then they aren't worth it. My Infinity bookselfs probably have a higher power handling, more even responce, and lower extension than those supposed subwoofer tower combos.

Funniest thing I have ever seen. Where do they come up with this stuff? 5.1 DCS Digital; 5.1 Eds Digital Digital Elite Audio ;Ultra Digital Labs 5.1 Digital Plus Pure II Decoding, this doesn't make any sense. Is this even legal, what in the name of jumping jacks is going on.

I guess they use some other decoding process like Bose does since it's cheaper. I wonder if that "pure marketing B.S. name" decoding even works? A lot of uneducated people on Ebay are eatin' this stuff up. It's too bad they're gettin' suckered into "a little better than TV built in speaker" sound.

I would guess that these so called formats are B.S. Just slopply DSP modes that aren't copyrighted like chamber effects and other similar crap. Although I am not sure how they get away with using 5.1 in there, but I just don't care.

It's possible to build a good speaker, for minimal expense, in China. But how are you going to sell it? SHowrooms, dealers, they all cost money. Better design a speaker that looks "good" in ebay photos. AFter all, the sound won't sell itself.

Was approached by 3 guys not in a white van, but a white Escalade yesterday in Mississsauga (Toronto), at the corner of Rexwood and Derry. They had about 5 of the DiVinci systems, a packing slip and a magazine called Live Audio which featured an ad for the DiVinci system with a MSRP of almost $1900. They initially offered the home theatre systems for $900. The price eventually came down to $300. They opened one of the boxes to show that as a bonus, they were including $300 worth of audio cabling. It was obviously worth $300 as the MSRP was printed right on the packages! The deal was too sweet!
Knowing this was a scam, I had them explain all the features a few times before getting back in my car and leaving them with an opened box. They were upset, but only shouted for a short period before having to find their next unsuspecting victim.
I came home to find this site. Full of great info - thanks for heads up about this brand and many others like it.
Hopefully more people visit these pages and educate themselves.

I had this same exact scenario happen to me.....did I really get screwed. I paid 200 bux for this thing. I hooked it up. It really sounds ok. I havent ran a lot of power through this thing....Is it crap? I live in New Hampshire by the way... Where is this society going? I dont get it..It looks nice I guess thats the conselation....screw them.

OK so I saw a pair on craigslist for $20.00 a piece. Is this a complete waste of time, money and space? Because to front speakers for $40 isnt bad right? What if I add a nice center channel and 4 good surrounds and 2 subs later?

For surround sound speaker system to perform properly all the speakers, especially the fronts and center, need to be from the same manufacturer otherwise sounds/vocals that pan from one side to the other will sound different as it goes thru the center speaker. This doesn't pertain to the subwoofer since it produces frequencies that are not produced by the other speakers.

You can get some great deals on used speakers from ebay and craigslist but I wouldn't bother with brands like DiVince. You would be better off in the long run with more recognized brands like Polk, Infinity, JBL, etc. And you would have a much better chance of finding the other speakers to round out your system.

Thanks Gene C! I will save the $40 and wait to get some better speakers, but I have no idea on audio and what to choose? I get pretty good company discounts and dont know where to begin! I am planning on getting the Yamaha RX-V765 so if anyone knows of good speakers to match this please let me know a few models. I didnt know that all the speakers of a 7.x system had to match and am looking to find a good fit for the RX-745 suggestions?
