Mitsu WD62526 for $1999
Sony KDFE60A20 for $2299
Panny 50 Plasma for $2799
Costco seems like the best deals but if there are better ones let me know. This set will be used for HD satellite, DVD's, and some xbox.
Thanks,
Josh

| A 1080i signal is comprised of fields, each with 540lines, each displayed in 1/60 of a second. THEY DO NOT OVERLAP! Or at least, they shouldn't. ... So we need to have the same number of lines as the source signal, be it progressive or interlaced, if we want to see the whole picture and not throw away any resolution. How else are you going to get the whole picture? Whether 1080i or 1080p, the device must be able to resolve 1080 lines. For 1080i it can scan them half at a time, but all lines need to be there. Of course with fixed pixel (LCD, DLP, Plasma) its not possible to actually display fields one at a time so you HAVE to deinterlace. |

| My question is "what are those people saying you should buy?" A 720 line fixed pixel device CANNOT display a full 1080i signal. Period. There are not enough lines. The only other option is a 1080i CRT device (and I would not recommend that at this stage). |
