What Are Your Top 10 Favorite Movies of All Time?

#1
Rating: 0
Note that the question is YOUR top 10 FAVORITE movies. Not what you think the top 10 best movies of all time are. There is a difference. For example, Cape Fear is on my top 10 list, but I sure would not consider it to be one of the best 10 movies ever made!

Anyway, here is my list:

1. Lawrence of Arabia

2. Taxi Driver

3. Pulp Fiction

4. The Godfather (I and II)

5. Full Metal Jacket

6. Goodfellas

7. The Terminator

8. Raging Bull

9. Amadeus

10. Cape Fear (1991)

Note that 4/10 of my favorites are directed my Marty Scorsese!

What are your top 10 favorite movies?

For ordinary men, it's a burning, fiery furnace.

Going through my list above, I noticed something. The vast majority of these movies need to be re-released on DVD for improved transfers. This includes Pulp Fiction (needs to be anamorphic) The Terminator (that will be resolved next Tuesday ), Goodfellas (non-anamorpic and a flipper!), Midnight Cowboy, Raging Bull, and even Amadeus could use a better anamorpic transfer along with some good supplements!

I also wish that Full Metal Jacket was anamorphic (without getting into Kubrick's "wishes", this still could have been, and should have been, an anamorpic disc imo).

Its sad that so many of my favorite movies are not available with a top notch DVD transfer!

For ordinary men, it's a burning, fiery furnace.

In no particular order whatsoever just to confuse everyone.

Ben-Hur (1959)(my favorite movie)
Lawrence of Arabia (1962)(my 2nd favorite movie)
Spartacus (1960)
2001 A Space Odyssey (1968)
Star Wars (1977)
The Godfather (1972)
The Godfather II (1974)
Duck Soup (1934)
Singin' in the Rain (1952)
Aliens (1986)
Brazil (1985)
Dune (1984)
North By Northwest (1959)
Jaws (1975)
Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)

Better stop before it becomes a top 20, I'm sure I've missed a few favorites, looking at my list the newest film is Aliens (1986), hmmmm interesting.
