Will Samsung DVD-HD850 Up Convert using Component?

I have a three year old Mitsubishi television that does not have a HDMI interface.
Can the Samsung DVD-HD850 work with component cables and will the picture look improved.

If not are there any other DVD Players that will do the job?

Thanks To All...

Unless your Mitsubishi has a DVI input, which I do not believe it does, then no upconversion is possible. Upconversion takes place in the digital domain and component, while still an excellent connector, is analog.
I have an upcoversion player and I really have to look to tell any difference.

I know enough to know I don't know enough!

Yes the Samsung DVD-HD850 will upscale over component. This is accomplished by a simple remote control hack:

Press the following buttons on your remote...

Power (when unit is off)
angle
4 3 2 7
angle

Whether or not you believe the picture is better by using the upscaling ability of this player will be entirely up to you. Personally I prefer upscaling players and believe it provides a very subtle improvment.

Enter this code:

a. Power On DVD player, no disk inserted
b. Press "Angle"
c. Press "4", "3", "2", "7"
d. Press "Angle"
e. TV Screen displays HDCP Free (you may have to open and then close the DVD tray for this to "engage")

This eliminates the HDCP, so upconversion from Component should work fine.

If it wasn't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college.
